Q: My company would like to send more than 1 employee to this event. Is there a group or multiple registration discount available?
A: Unfortunately, we do not have discounts available for group or multiple registrations from one company available; however please note that the cost of a General Attendee registration is at a value as it covers full access to all sessions, entrance to the exhibit hall, conference meals, all evening events, and access to session content post-conference via MySPC.
Q: What meals are provided with my Full Registration Pass?
A: Breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon breaks will be provided on all conference days. We will also have drinks and light appetizers served at the Welcome Reception and Evening Event.
Q: Does SharePoint Conference have discounted rooms available?
A: Yes, hotel rooms are blocked from November 8 - 17 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino with a rate of $205 + $10 resort fee (USD) excluding 12% tax per night and at THEhotel with a rate of $235 + $10 resort fee (USD) excluding 12% tax fee per night. Please note that a deposit equal to one night's stay is required and will be charged by the hotel to the card on file to hold your room reservation upon submission of the rooming list to the hotel on Wednesday, October 17, 2012. The hotels will honor these rates for the dates of November 8 - 17; however, dates outside the blocked dates of November 8 - 17 are based on hotel availability.
Q: I already registered but didn’t book hotel accommodations at that time. Now that I’m ready to book, how do I make hotel accommodations at the Microsoft discounted rate?
A: Please contact our registration team at +1 (800) 528-1668 (US & Canada) or +1 (360) 253-2971 during the hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm (PST), Monday through Friday to add hotel accommodations. We will send you an updated confirmation email reflecting the addition of hotel accommodations to your existing registration. Please note that the deadline to take new reservations is Wednesday, October 17, 2012 and is based upon availability.
Q: I want to bring my family to stay in my room. Will there be an additional cost to the conference hotel rate?
A: There will be a charge of $30 added for each guest over double occupancy with a maximum of four (4) guests per room. Please note that there will be no additional charge for children fifteen (15) years of age and under when occupying the same room with an adult using the existing bedding.
Q: Does the conference hotel offer shuttle service from the airport?
A: Mandalay Bay does not offer a shuttle service. Shuttles are available at the airport and they drop off at all the major strip hotels. Mandalay Bay is usually either the very first drop off or the very last drop off. Shuttles generally cost $4-$6 per person. Varieties of shuttle/limousine services are available at McCarran, and are located on the north and west sides of baggage claim, outside door exits 8-14.
Q: When I check out on the last day of the conference, what can I do with my luggage while I’m attending sessions?
A: For your convenience, luggage check will be available on Thursday, November 15 from 7:00am – 2:30pm at the Registration Desk. Only luggage will be accepted (no purses, laptop bags, briefcases, or jackets).
Q: Can I bring a guest with me to the Evening Event?
A: Yes, you may bring a guest with the purchase of a Guest Pass. Please visit the Register Now page of this website to register your guest for the Evening Event.
Q: When will your sessions list be announced?
A: Full conference agenda will be made available within the summer timeframe.
Q: When can I sign up for breakout sessions that I would like to attend while onsite?
A: Our breakout sessions are on a first-come, first-served basis. Once MySPC becomes available, you will have the opportunity to view session dates and times to build out your personal schedule while you are at SharePoint Conference 2012.
